Things I Love About My Church

Published on September 4, 2026 at 11:22 PM

Every pastor has stories. Every church has memories. But every now and then, God plants you in a place that becomes more than a building, more than a gathering, more than a Sunday routine. It becomes a family. A refuge. A living testimony of His grace.

That’s what Living Waters Fellowship Church has become for me.

Tonight, I wanted to share a few things I love about my church, not as a pastor, not as an author, but simply as a man grateful for the people God has placed around him.

  1. I Love the Way We Worship

Our worship isn’t polished performance. It’s honest. It’s raw. It’s real.

It’s the sound of people who have walked through storms, survived fires, and stood in floods, and still lift their hands anyway. There’s something powerful about worship that comes from people who know what grace feels like.

  1. I Love the Way We Love Each Other

We don’t always get it perfect. But we get it real.

I’ve watched our church:

  • pray for each other
  • show up for each other
  • cook for each other
  • cry with each other
  • celebrate each other

It’s the kind of love that doesn’t need a spotlight. It just quietly shows up where it’s needed most.

  1. I Love the Hunger for God’s Word

There’s a deep, steady hunger in our church, not for entertainment, not for emotional hype, but for truth.

People bring their Bibles. People take notes. People ask questions. People want to grow.

That hunger is what keeps a church alive.

  1. I Love the Stories Behind the Faces

Every person in our church has a story, some painful, some beautiful, all redeemed.

I love:

  • the testimonies whispered after service
  • the breakthroughs that happen quietly
  • the healing that comes slowly
  • the joy that returns unexpectedly

Our church is full of people who have seen God move in ways that never make the news but always make a difference.

  1. I Love That We’re Not Perfect

We’re not a polished church. We’re not a fancy church. We’re not a “look at us” church.

We’re a real church.

A church where:

  • people are still growing
  • people are still learning
  • people are still healing
  • people are still becoming who God called them to be

And honestly… I wouldn’t trade that for anything.

  1. I Love That God Meets Us Here

Every Sunday, without fail, God shows up.

Sometimes in the sermon. Sometimes in the worship. Sometimes in a conversation in the hallway. Sometimes in a moment no one else notices.

But He’s here. And that’s what makes this church home.

Why I’m Sharing This

Because in a world full of noise, division, and distraction, it’s easy to forget how blessed we are to have a church family.

And I want people to know that there is a church, Living Waters Fellowship Church, that has shaped me, supported me, prayed for me, and walked with me.

And I’m grateful.

Thank You God for Living Waters Fellowship Church.
