Isaiah 40:31 — “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Before we step into this week’s devotionals, I want to invite you into a simple but life‑shifting challenge:
Choose one area of your life where you’ve been fighting in your own strength… and lay it down.
Not ignore it. Not push harder. Not try to fix it alone.
Just stop fighting it in your strength and intentionally wait on God in that one place.
It might be:
- a decision you keep wrestling with
- a worry that drains your peace
- a relationship you’re trying to carry
- a burden you’ve been holding quietly
- a situation you keep trying to control
- a fear that keeps tightening your chest
Pick one.
Write it down. Name it. Acknowledge it.
And for this entire week, practice the discipline of waiting on the Lord instead of wrestling with it.
Your challenge is simple:
Every time you feel the urge to fight… pause and pray instead.
Ask God to step into the space you’ve been filling with your own strength. Ask Him to renew what has been draining you. Ask Him to lift what has been heavy. Ask Him to steady what has been shaking.
This week is not about doing more. It’s about doing less in your strength so you can receive more of His.
It’s about creating room for renewal. It’s about letting God be God.
And by the time we reach Sunday, you may be surprised at how much lighter your heart feels, not because the battle disappeared, but because you stopped fighting it alone.
