Isaiah 63:1 “Who is this that comes from Bozrah… I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.”
We begin this week with the first W — WHAT.
It’s the question every believer asks at some point:
“Lord… what are You doing?”
What is happening in my life? What is shifting? What is breaking? What is forming? What is God trying to show me?
Sometimes the “what” is clear. Sometimes it’s confusing. Sometimes it feels like God is moving pieces you didn’t even know were on the board.
But Isaiah gives us something powerful today.
He doesn’t start with an explanation. He starts with a question:
“Who is this…?”
Isaiah sees movement. He sees action. He sees something happening, but he doesn’t understand it.
So he asks WHAT by asking WHO.
And the answer comes: “I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.”
In other words:
The WHAT is always tied to the WHO. And the WHO is always Jesus.
When you don’t know what God is doing… look at who is doing it.
When you don’t understand the situation… look at who is standing in it with you.
When the path feels unclear… look at who is guiding your steps.
When the season feels confusing… look at who is carrying you through it.
God’s “what” is never random. It’s never careless. It’s never accidental.
It is always shaped by the character of the One who is mighty to save.
Today, instead of asking: “What is happening?”
Ask: “Who is holding me?”
Because when you know who is working, you can trust what He is doing, even when you don’t understand it yet.
And if you still don’t know the answer…
Shout Jesus. Because He is what God is doing.
